Dr. Ashish with a patient.

Dr. Ashish with a patient. The comfort and confidence of both children and parents before, during and after their visits to our office is of primary importance to us.

We see children from infancy to young adulthood. We specialize in treating children, and some adults with special needs. We welcome you in our treatment area and as a partner in your child’s dental health.

First Visit

During your first visit, we review the patient’s medical and dental history. Dr. Ashish will examine your child’s teeth and depending on circumstances, a cleaning and fluoride application will be performed. It is also possible that certain x-rays may be taken. However, the most time will be spent engaging the child and the parents to put them at ease and answer any questions they may have. We will go over oral hygiene and dietary recommendations. We will discuss any recommendations we make so that you are comfortable in understanding why we make them. We may suggest a referral to another specialist and explain the reason for this.

Follow up visits

We recommend that your child visit us every six months. On these visits we will clean and polish their teeth, take necessary x-rays, and provide a thorough examination to insure a healthy mouth and to intercept any incipient problems.

We emphasize the importance of good preventive dental care for children. Establishing good home care habits including diet, brushing, and flossing are extremely important to your child’s oral health. Methods such as fluoride treatments and sealants can also be extremely effective in helping your child avoid tooth decay.

By the time a child reaches the teen years 90% of his or her facial growth has been completed. This is why early orthodontic diagnosis is extremely important in minimizing both the length and extent of orthodontic treatment. Crowded teeth, missing or extracted teeth, a poorly aligned bite speech and chewing difficulties are all signs of problems that can be corrected with proper space maintainers and or orthodontic treatment.

The comfort and confidence of both children and parents before, during and after their visits to our office is of primary importance to us. We adhere to the strictest OSHA sterilization guidelines and utilize the most modern, effective sterilization equipment and methods offering your child effective and personal care in a safe environment

We offer various methods for relieving a child’s anxiety. The use of medications, nitrous oxide, and general anesthesia are available. Feel free to discuss any of these options with us.

Our office is generally open from 9 in the morning till 5 in the afternoon with slight modification for the summer and winter. We prefer to have our younger patients seen in the morning. Younger patients will have a better experience in the mornings, tolerating procedures when they are well rested. Afternoons are mainly for older children to accommodate school and after-school activities.

We make every effort to see your child at there appointed time. Please try to respect our time also. Arriving late will throw off everyone’s schedule. We would also ask you for a 24-hour minimum to change or cancel your appointment. A failed appointment fee will also be assessed without proper notice. We do our best to see emergency visits ASAP and we have our “Call List” to try to schedule those patients in immediate need sooner.

Financial Policy

We offer a number of options for payment. We accept Visa, Master Card and Discovery credit cards. We also accept personal checks and can set up a payment plan for the cost of your child’s treatment. We do our best to work with your insurance company to submit the necessary forms that maximizes your benefits. The estimated co-payment is expected to be paid on the day of service. Any balances that remain after your insurance has paid its share is your responsibility. Please contact us with any concerns or questions.
